The Atlanta Open continues on Saturday in PPA Tour Pickleball action.
The Atlanta Open is set to continue with all the top players on tour being back to fight for the major title. 2,000 points will be going to the winner, which is the most available amount of points at a tournament just four times per year. Federico Staksrud will be looking to make his 10th straight singles final in 2024 in Atlanta. Staksrud grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Like many other professional pickleball players, Staksrud has a tennis background, competing at multiple colleges including the University of New Orleans and Tennessee Wesleyan. He made the decision to switch to pickleball after having the opportunity to train with top players like Simone Jardim, CJ Klinger, Kyle Yates, Pablo Tellez, Brendon Long and Ryan Sherry.
