Ghim would make a massive move up the FedExCup Fall standings with a win, moving from 93rd place to 59th and putting himself in position to earn exemptions for next year’s Pebble Beach Pro-Am and Genesis Invitational. The 28-year-old has never won on the PGA Tour and his lone top-10 finish is a tie for eighth at the Mexico Open in February. He had made four straight birdies when darkness halted play.
Poston finished in the top 50 of the FedExCup standings and is fully exempt for next season, including signature events. Woodland would move to 125th place with a tie for third, putting him on the right side of the line to earn a full tour card for 2025.
Six players have a share of seventh place, with only K.H. Lee completing his third round at 13-under. The other players in the group are J.J. Spaun (through 17) and Davis Thompson (through 16) as well as three players with 13 holes complete, Norman Xiong, Taylor Pendrith and Matti Schmid.
