After signing an extension to bring this tournament through the 2030 season, the first round of the Constellation FURYK & Friends will tee off on Friday.
The name might not look like a traditional one for the PGA Tour but this Constellation FURYK & Friends tournament delivers in a big way by giving back to the community. This is the fourth year of this tournament and will be hosted at the Timuquana Country Club in Jacksonville, Florida. This tournament brings along celebrities for the cause and proceeds benefit Northeast Florida charities that are provided by The Jim & Tabitha Furyk Foundation. Jim Furyk of course was a great golfer in his own right in the 2000s winning the U.S. Open in 2003 and he still holds the record for the lowest score in PGA Tour history with a round of 58 in 2016 all while having one of the most interesting swings in the sport. Furyk still holds his own debuting on the PGA Tour Champions in 2020. This field comprises of a lot of familiar faces that many of us grew up with. Golfers joining Furyk include Fred Couples, Ernie Els, John Daly, Vijay Singh, Steven Alker, Davis Love III and many more.

Brett Quigley is the defending champion of this tournament. The good news for Furyk and his friends is that this tournament will last for at least five more years. That is because Constellation and the PGA Tour Champions Furyk & Friends announced a sponsorship extension to go through the 2030 season. The venue will be different though next year because the Timuquana Country Club declined last year to renew the contract. This tournament has has had a great impact on the Jacksonville area with the mayor stating that it brings $8 million in annual economic impact and it has brought $3.5 million to local charities in its first three iterations.
