Utah makes first visit to Quebec as their four-game road trip concludes against the Montreal Canadiens
Returning to the ice after their season-longest two-game winning streak was snapped on Saturday, the Montreal Canadiens wrap up a four-game home stand on Tuesday night when they welcome the Utah Hockey Club into Bell Centre for the first of two meetings between the teams this season. Utah has lost four of their last five games including two of three on the roadtrip despite allowing just five goals in that span. Despite ranking ninth in the National Hockey League on the penalty kill, Montreal is 31st in the league allowing 3.80 goals per game conceding four or more goals in five of their last seven games.

After an electric start to the campaign Canadiens winger Cole Caufield is tied for 10th in the league with his team-leading 12 goals this season despite being held without a goal in eight of his last nine games. The 23-year-old Caufield, who Montreal selected in the first-round of the 2019 NHL Draft, had a breakout season a year ago posting career highs in both goals and assists and is on pace to set a new mark for goals this season.
Utah center Nick Schmaltz has three of his team-leading 15 assists in the last four games and comes into this season off three consecutive 35-plus assist seasons.
Scoring a power play goal in 14 of their first 20 games, Montreal ranks ninth in the league converting on 22.4% of opportunities with the man advantage.
