The Utah Hockey Club hits the road for the first time on Friday night to take on the Vegas Golden Knights. Utah comes into Friday on a two-game winning streak to open up its first preseason. Utah, formerly the Arizona Coyotes, are playing its first season in Salt Lake City and has gotten off to a great start. It beat the St. Louis Blues 5-3 last Sunday in its first preseason game and then beat the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 in overtime on Monday. In the game against the Kings, Lawson Crouse and Alex Kerfoot scored in the first quarter to give it a two-goal lead. Utah gave up that lead in the second period, but Clayton Keller bailed the Hockey Club out when he scored just 19 seconds into overtime for the win. Utah will look to stay hot on Friday and knock off a Golden Knights team looking to bounce back from a loss.

The Golden Knights are coming off a 3-2 loss to the Kings on Wednesday night. They got behind early as they gave up goals to Alex Laferriere and Tanner Jeannot in the first period.
They did get one back when Noah Hanifin scored 2:36 into the second period, but went back down two goals when Warren Foegele scored six minutes later.
Tanner Laczynski would get it back to a one-goal deficit 5:06 into the third period, but the Golden Knights couldn’t tie the game and lost their first preseason game.
The Golden Knights won their first game of the preseason 4-2 over the San Jose Sharks and are now 1-1. They will take on the Colorado Avalanche in the next two games before finishing the preseason with a home game against the Sharks.
