On Wednesday the Utah Hockey Club goes for three wins in a row as they face the Anaheim Ducks, who are trying to end a three-game losing streak.
The Anaheim Ducks try to avoid losing four preseason games in a row when they host the Utah Hockey Club on Wednesday night. After getting three points in back-to-back games against the San Jose Sharks, the Ducks lost back-to-back games against the LA Kings. Both games were in Anaheim and the first game was close, ending in a 3-2 loss. But when the rematch came on Monday, the game wasn’t even close. Los Angeles dominated winning 4-0. Darcy Kuemper was great in net for the Kings in a relatively low shooting game for both teams. Kuemper got the shutout and the first star of the game stopping all 23 shots. Tanner Jeannot scored the first goal of the game and it was effectively over when Akil Thomas scored the third goal of the game early in the second period. Each player also added an assist.

Utah also had success against San Jose with the Hockey Club playing the Sharks on Tuesday. Matt Benning scored the first goal of the game in the second period, but that is the last time San Jose would get on the board. The Sharks were held to just 20 shots and Utah’s goalie Connor Ingram earned the first star of the game with 19 saves. Kailer Yamamoto easily could have grabbed that star quicker than Mario, scoring two goals in the third period to effectively ice the game.
This former Arizona squad is enjoying a change of scenery in the preseason with a 4-1-0 record. Can the Utah Hockey Club win three in a row with no rest today?
