Week 10 has a couple of challenges for Tulane (6-2, 4-0 AAC). The Green Wave will have a quick turnaround, going from a Saturday game to a Thursday game, as they head on the road to take on Charlotte (3-5, 2-2 AAC). This is a big game for Tulane, which is one of only three teams left unbeaten in AAC play along with Army and Navy. The Green Wave face Army in a couple of weeks, meaning the Green Wave still control their own destiny for a spot in the AAC Championship Game – but they’ll have to win out to get there.

On Saturday Tulane won its fifth game in a row, beating North Texas 45-37. Tulane running back Makhi Hughes went off in that game, rushing for 195 yards and a touchdown on 30 carries. Quarterback Darian Mensah also threw for three touchdowns, despite only attempting 13 passes.
Tulane is the only school ranked in the top three in both scoring offense and scoring defense in the AAC heading into Week 10. The Green Wave are second in the conference offensively averaging 40.5 points per game, and third defensively allowing 22.3 points per game.
Now they’ll have a short week to prepare for a Charlotte team that nearly pulled off a big upset on the road last week against Memphis. After trailing 21-7 to start the fourth quarter the 49ers scored a trio of touchdowns to take a 28-24 lead with 1:20 to play. However they couldn’t hold on as Memphis answered in the final seconds in what ended up being a 33-28 final.
