How to Watch Senators at Wild: Stream NHL Live, TV Channel

The Minnesota Wild look to chip away at the Central division lead when they host the Ottawa Senators on Sunday.

Minnesota is going for its third win in a row after losing four straight when they host the Ottawa Senators on Sunday night. Minnesota is now just three points back of the Central division lead right behind Winnipeg. The Wild hold a 10-point advantage over Ottawa in this matchup and should be the considerable favorite especially at home. Minnesota is coming off a big 3-2 overtime win against its division foe when it faced off against the Dallas Stars on Friday. Things were looking bleak for Minnesota most of the game though.

The Wild had just 18 shots compared to 29 from Dallas. The Stars held a 2-0 lead well into the third period. But the Wild came alive scoring two goals in the third from Jonas Brodin and Marcus Foligno who reached the back of the net less than a minute of one another. Brock Faber made sure the comeback wouldn’t go to waste scoring the game-winner 35 seconds into overtime. Faber finished with the first star for his wrap-around goal heroics. Goalie Filip Gustavsson kept the Wild in the game just long enough stopping 27 shots.

The Senators are trying to avoid three losses in a row tonight and this is after a six-game winning streak. Ottawa will be playing on no day’s rest after facing off against Winnipeg on Saturday where the Jets won 4-2. That final was despite the Senators outshooting Winnipeg 35-23. Things were looking great for Ottawa early in the game with the Senators scoring the first two goals on the power play from Tim Stutzle in the first and Ridly Greig in the second. But the Senators were shut out the rest of the way with the Jets scoring four unanswered goals. They’ll have to keep their foot on the petal because the competition doesn’t get any easier tonight.
