In an effort to expand the game the two teams will face-off in Finland in a two-game series. The Panthers come into the series on a three-game winning streak and 7-3-1 on the season. The Panthers won the Stanley Cup last season and they are picking up right where they left off to start this season. They have won six of their last eight games and one of those losses came in overtime. The last three wins have all come on the road and they have beat the New York Rangers, New York Islanders and Buffalo Sabres. They have won each of those three games by at least two goals and scored 14 combined goals in the wins.

The Stars come to Finland playing well also. They have won two straight and are 7-2-0 on the season. They have won by at least two goals in five of their seven victories and both of their losses have come on the road.
They were one of the best teams in the Western Conference last season and they are looking to get back to the Stanley Cup Championship this year. They made it to the conference finals before losing to the Edmonton Oilers.
Matt Duchene has been the star for the Stars this season as he has scored a team-best six goals and he leads the team with 11 points. Tyler Seguin, Roope Hintz and Jason Robertson have also been good as they all have four goals on the year.
