Sabres aim to end losing skid as they host the Senators in an Atlantic Division showdown
Winners of two of their last three games, the Ottawa Senators skate into KeyBank Center on Tuesday night to face off against the Buffalo Sabres in the first of four meetings between the Atlantic Division rivals this season. Buffalo has lost three games in a row, already their second three-game losing streak of the young season and have lost two consecutive games at home. The Senators own the National Hockey League’s third best power play unit converting on 33.3% of chances with the man advantage but have been held scoreless on the power play in three of their last four games.

Senators center Tim Stutzle leads the team with 10 assists so far this season with five of those coming on the power play. Stutzle, in his fifth season with Ottawa after the Senators selected him with the third overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, is three goals away from 100 for his career after posting three goals in his last three games.
Tage Thompson had his eight-game points streak snapped in Saturday’s loss at Detroit but still leads the Sabres with 13 points through 12 games.
Ottawa goaltender Anton Forsbeg is 3-2-0 with a 2.65 goals against average, a .910 save percentage, and has posted a pair of shutouts having blanked Seattle in a 3-0 home win on Saturday.
The series is split 4-4 over the last eight games and is tied 3-3 in the last six meetings in Buffalo.
