The Edmonton Oilers open 4-game road trip with a Sunday win, visit the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday night
The Edmonton Oilers (4-4-1, 9 points) got back to the break-even mark with an overtime win on Sunday night to open a four-game road trip. On Monday, the Oilers head to Nationwide Arena to take on the Columbus Blue Jackets (3-3-1, 7 points), who return home after an overtime road loss on Saturday night. Edmonton shook off a sluggish start last season to reach Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final while the Blue Jackets haven’t been to the postseason since 2020 and have a new coach in former Minnesota Wild bench boss Dean Evason. Oilers coach Kris Knoblauch took over last season after a 3-9-1 start and led the team to a 46-18-5 mark the rest of the way.
