Winless on the road trip, the Predators aim to snap losing skid as they skate into Minneapolis to face the Wild
In the third stop on their current six-game road trip, the Nashville Predators hit the ice inside the Xcel Energy Center on Tuesday night looking to snap a two-game losing streak when they face off against the Minnesota Wild in a showdown between the Central Division foes. After racing out to a 18-4-4 start, the Wild have won just four of their last 11 outings and are 2-5 in their last seven games at home. The Wild defense, ranked sixth in the National Hockey League allowing just 2.68 goals per game, has allowed four or more goals five times since December 7th and are 1-4 in those games.

Wild winger Kirill Kaprizov is seventh in the NHL with his team high 50 points this season and comes into this game with at least a point in five of his last six games. In his fifth season with Minnesota, Kaprizov is on pace for his third consecutive 40-goal season and is halfway to his second career 100-point season after tallying a career high 108 points during the 2021-22 campaign. Despite missing Friday’s game against Dallas with a lower body injury, Kaprizov is second in the league in scoring posting 23 goals on the year.
After a slow start, Predators winger Jonathan Marchessault has regained his scoring prowess netting six goals in his last six games and has 14 points in December after collecting 12 in his first two months with Nashville. Marchessault, who helped Vegas hoist the Stanley Cup in 2023, signed a five-year deal with the Predators in July.
Minnesota won the first meeting against Nashville this season winning 3-2 on a Jared Spurgeon overtime winner back in late November. The two teams wrap their season series in Nashville next month.
