The Flames open a four-game home stand against the road weary Predators
Winless so far on their five-game western road trip, the Nashville Predators skate into the Scotiabank Saddledome on Friday night to face off against the Calgary Flames in a Western Conference showdown. Calgary begins a four-game home stand as they return to the ice for the first time since a 3-1 loss at Vancouver on Tuesday while the Predators have lost back-to-back overtime games on the road including Thursday night against Edmonton. The Preds have lost five consecutive road games and have not won outside of Music City since a 3-2 at Chicago back on October 25th but have won seven of their last nine in Calgary.

Predators defenseman Roam Josi leads the team with 11 assists this season and comes into this game on a four-game points streak. A second-round selection by Nashville in the 2008 NHL Draft, Josi is two points away from 700 for his career after posting 85 points last season, his second highest total of his 14-year career.
Nashville owns the NHL’s top ranked penalty killing unit successfully fending off 91.5% of opportunities against the man advantage. The Predators have held 10 of their last 12 opponents without a goal on the power play including five of the last six.
Despite being held scoreless in six consecutive games, Flames defenseman Rasmus Andersson leads the club with 11 points this season.
This is the first of three meetings between the teams this season as the clubs will face off in Nashville in December and will wrap the season series back in Calgary in early January.
