The Minnesota Wild are going for their fourth win in a row when they host the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday night.
Two of the top teams in the Western Conference early in this season square off on Tuesday night in the State of Hockey. The Minnesota Wild (8-1-2) wrap up a three-game homestand at the Xcel Energy Center when they host the Los Angeles Kings (7-3-3). This homestand has been good to Minnesota, with the Wild winning each of the first two games. They beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-3 on Friday, before getting by the Toronto Maple Leafs 2-1 in overtime on Sunday thanks to a game-winner from left winger Matt Boldy.

Things have been going well for the Wild even going back before this homestand. John Hynes’ team has won three games in a row and seven of its last eight games. They have a point in every game but one this season.
Left winger Kirill Kaprizov is a big part of Minnesota’s hot start. He’s been on a tear with 21 points (seven goals, 14 assists) in 11 games.
The Wild will welcome in a Kings team that is playing good hockey in its own right. Los Angeles has won four of its last six, with points in five of those games.
However, the Kings conditioning will be tested with this being the second half of a road back-to-back. The team was in Nashville on Monday, and shut out the Predators 3-0.
