The Winnipeg Jets and Florida Panthers play the first of two straight games against each other on Saturday night. The two teams play in Florida on Saturday and then again in Winnipeg on Tuesday night. The Jets come into Saturday with an NHL-best 15-2-0 record, but are coming off a 4-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday night. The loss to the Lightning snapped a seven-game winning streak for the Jets and kept them from winning eight a row for the second time this year. They opened the season with eight straight win before a loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs and then won seven more in a row. It has been an impressive start for the Jets that has them in first place in the Central Division, five points up on the Minnesota Wild who also have just two regulation losses.

The Panthers come into Saturday looking to snap a two-game losing streak after the dropped back-to-back games to the New Jersey Devils. Both of the losses came at home and they snapped a seven-game winning streak. Despite the two losses they still sit at 11-5-1 on the season and has them in first place in the Atlantic Division.
They are a point up on the Maple Leafs on the standings and five points up on the Boston Bruins.
Sam Reinhart has been great for the Panthers to start the season as he is leading the team in goals, assists and points. He has lit the lamp 13 times already this season and dished out 12 assists.
