The Carolina Hurricanes continue their four-game road trip on Monday night when they take on the Nashville Predators. The Hurricanes lost the first game of the trip to the Washington Capitals, but they bounced back to get a 3-1 win over the New York Rangers on Sunday afternoon. The win was their third in the last four games, as the defense has played well. They have given up just two combined goals in their last three wins. They now sit at 21-11-1 on the season and in third place in the Metropolitan Division. They currently sit three points back of the Capitals and four points back of the New Jersey Devils in the division. The Capitals will wrap up their road trip on Friday when they take on the New Jersey Devils before they return home to take on the Devils the next day. They will then head back on the road for two straight. Martin Necas has been great for the Hurricanes this year, as he is leading the team in goals with 14, assists with 30 and points with 44.

The Predators will have to find a way to slow Necas down if they want to upset the Hurricanes and get a second straight win.
The Predators are coming off a big 3-2 overtime win over the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday. It was the second straight overtime game for the Predators, as they had lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-4 on Thursday.
The Predators now sit at 10-17-7 on the season and in seventh place in the Central Division. They are just one point up on the Chicago Blackhawks for last place in the division.
