The Chicago Blackhawks (20-46-5) have won four of their last seven games heading into Tuesday night’s matchup with the Calgary Flames (33-32-5) at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
That Blackhawks win wrapped up a three-game California road trip at the SAP Center against the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks got out to a 4-0 lead in that one, scoring the fourth goal just 22 minutes into the game. The Blackhawks came back with a fury though, and tallied five unanswered goals, with center Philipp Kurashev tying the game in the final minute before defenseman Seth Jones scored the game winner – and his second goal of the night – in overtime.

Meanwhile, the Flames come in after a stretch of playing five of six games at home. Calgary went 2-4-0 during that time. Last time out on Sunday, the Flames hosted the Buffalo Sabres and fell 4-1.
The Flames and Blackhawks already played each other twice this year – both times in January. Both of those games were one-score games.
On Jan. 7, the Blackhawks defended home ice with a 4-3 win. Blackhawks center Colin Blackwell had two goals and an assist in that game. 20 days later the teams met in Calgary in a defensive struggle, as Calgary came away with a 1-0 win in a game that featured 62 combined saves from Flames goalie Jacob Markstrom and Blackhawks goalie Petr Mrazek.
