Toronto ranks sixth in the NHL allowing just 2.61 goals per game led by goaltender Anthony Stolarz who boasts a 2.11 goals against average and a .930 save percentage ranking him in the top five in both categories. Stolarz was a second-round selection by Philadelphia in 2012 and has bounced around the league included stops in Edmonton, Anaheim, and last season helped Florida to a Stanley Cup over the Oilers before signing a two-year free agent deal with the Leafs back in July.
The Oilers duo of McDavid and Draisaitl have combined for 41 points on the season with Draisaitl tied for the league lead in goals. On Thursday, McDavid became the fourth fastest, and fourth youngest, to amass 1,000 career points by tallying a goal and an assist in the 3-2 win over Nashville.
Toronto has won 11 of the last 15 meetings in this series including three in a row at home. Edmonton has not won in Ontario since an overtime victory in March of 2021.
