Stars aim to extend winning streak as three-game road trip beings against Utah
In the first of four meetings between the Central Division squads this season the Dallas Stars skate into Salt Lake City on Monday night as they face off against the Utah Hockey Club as Dallas makes its first ever visit to the Beehive State. The Stars have seven of their last 10 games but have lost two in a row on away ice after dropping two of three games on the road before Thanksgiving. Utah has alternated wins and losses over the last six games seeing their offense fail to find consistency after being shutout at Boston and twice scoring six goals in that span.

The Stars feature a trio of front line skaters who lead the team in scoring as centers Roope Hintz and Matt Duchene as well as winger Mason Marchment each have tallied at least 10 goals so far this season. Hintz, a second-round pick by the Stars in the 2015 NHL Draft, has scored 30 or more goals in each of the last three seasons and comes into this game with a goal in four of his last five games.
Utah winger Dylan Guenther leads the team with 10 goals this season with three of those coming in his last five outings. In just his third year in the NHL, Guenther is on pace to set career highs in goals, assists, points and power play goals and has already set a career high with five assists on the man advantage.
Despite allowing a power play goal in three of their last four games, Dallas ranks sixth in the league on the penalty kill successfully fending off 82.1% of chances against the man advantage. The Stars began the season holding six of their first seven opponents this season without a power play goal.
