Winners of four of their last six games, the Boston Bruins aim to continue their dominance over the Dallas Stars when they drop the puck on the second of two meetings this season on Thursday night inside the American Airlines Center. The Bruins have dominated this series winning seven of the last nine meetings against the Stars but Dallas won the last meeting winning in Boston 5-2 three weeks ago. The Stars have won nine of their first 14 games but sit third in a packed Central Division trailing Winnipeg and Minnesota and are 6-1 on home ice this season.

Dallas ranks second in the NHL allowing just 2.36 goals per game led by goaltender Jake Oettinger who is 7-3 with a .914 save percentage in his first ten starts. A first-round selection by Dallas in the 2017 NHL Draft, Oettinger has won 30 or more games in each of the last three seasons and posted his 11th career shutout in a 3-0 home win over the Islanders back in mid-October.
The Bruins offense has sputtered this season ranking 31st in the NHL on the power play and is 25th in the league scoring 2.53 goals per game. Boston has scored more than three goals just twice in their last 12 games after scoring 20 goals in their first five games.
David Pastrnak leads Boston with 16 points this season having scored five points in the last three games. Pastrnak has tallied 100 points in each of the last two seasons including a career-high 113 during the 2022-23 campaign.
Boston has won eight of their last 10 visits to Dallas dating back to 2014 including three of the last four.
