Philadelphia Flyers look for 1st consecutive wins of the season when they host the St. Louis Blues on Thursday.

The Philadelphia Flyers (3-6-1, 7 points) have won two of three games since snapping a six-game losing streak and on Thursday night welcome the St. Louis Blues (5-5-0, 10 points) to the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. St. Louis is 1-2-0 as it wraps up a four-game road trip while the Flyers are just 1-3-0 at home this season. The Blues’ injury woes got worse on Tuesday night after forward Kasperi Kapanen left their game against the Ottawa Senators with an upper-body injury and forward Mathieu Joseph returned to St. Louis for an evaluation of his lower body issue.

Samuel Ersson stopped all 23 shots he faced and Tyler Foerster’s goal 5:32 into the second period was enough as Philadelphia picked up a 2-0 road win on Tuesday night over the Boston Bruins. Joel Farabee added an empty-netter with 24 seconds left. The Flyers lost defenseman Cam York to injured reserve on Friday with an upper-body injury.

Joel Hofer surrendered five goals before he was yanked at 11:08 in the second period as St. Louis was pummeled 8-1 at Ottawa on Tuesday. Dylan Holloway‘s power-play goal midway through the third period made it a 7-1 game and was the lone bright spot for the Blues.

Holloway moved into a tie with Jake Neighbours for the St. Louis team lead in goals with four while Jordan Kyrou has two goals and a team-best nine points. Jordan Binnington, who gave up three goals in relief of Hofer, is 2-4-0 in six starts with an .895 save percentage and 3.12 goals-against average.

Travis Konecny paces Philadelphia with five goals and 10 points while Ersson is 3-2-1 in six starts with an .890 save percentage and 3.00 GAA. His shutout on Tuesday was the first by a Flyers goalie this season.
