The Stars are back on American turf after playing two games in Finland against the Florida Panthers. They went across the pond and lost twice to the defending Stanley Cup Champions. They lost by two goals in both games and it dropped them to 7-4-0 on the season. The Stars had won two in a row and had lost just two games on the season heading into their series with the Panthers. It was a rough trip, but they hope being back home against a struggling Blackhawks team can get them back on track. The two teams played in Dallas two weeks ago and the Stars got the 4-2 win. Matt Duchene scored twice in that game and the Stars held off a Blackhawks rally to get the win.

The Blackhawks come into Thursday looking to bounce back from a 4-1 loss to the Detroit Red Wings at home on Wednesday.
The loss to the Red Wings snapped a two-game winning streak and dropped them to 5-8-1 on the season. Even with the loss the Blackhawks have won three of their last five games and have been playing better.
They have a tough schedule coming up, though, as three of their next four games are on the road and two of them are out west against the Seattle Kraken and Vancouver Canucks.
