Week 14 was full of upsets and playoff shake-ups in the NFL. Here is a look at the playoff picture heading into Week 15 of the season.
Week 14 shook up the playoff picture in both conferences. The New England Patriots beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Cleveland Browns beat the Jacksonville Jaguars, the New York Jets beat the Houston Texans, the Chicago Bears beat the Detroit Lions, the Buffalo Bills beat the Kansas City Chiefs, the Dallas Cowboys beat the Philadelphia Eagles and the Tennessee Titans beat the Miami Dolphins. All of those games moved around wild cards and seeding positions. Here is a look at the playoff picture heading into Week 15.

NFC Picture
1 Seed: San Francisco 49ers (10-3) – NFC West Leader
The San Francisco 49ers continue to win football games beating the Seattle Seahawks last week 28-16. That brings their record to 10-3 on the season tied for the best in the NFL. They move to the No. 1 seed in the NFC that was previously held by the Philadelphia Eagles and holds over the Dallas Cowboys because of a head-to-head victory.
2 Seed: Dallas Cowboys (10-3) – NFC East Leader
The Cowboys allowed the Eagles to come into their home stadium in Texas and sent them packing with a loss. Now, both of them are tied at 10-3 on the season. However, Dallas holds the tiebreaker over Philadelphia with a 4-1 record in divisional games (Philadelphia is 3-1).
3 Seed: Detroit Lions (9-4) – NFC North Leader
The Detroit Lions at times have looked like the best team in the NFL and at times looked like a mediocre football team this city has seen for years. They were again defeated by a mediocre team in the Chicago Bears last week, losing 28-13 and finding no offense. They stay leading the division, though just by two games now.
4 Seed: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-7) – NFC South Leader
Honestly, it is sad that a team with a record under .500 can have a shot at the playoffs, much less a top-four seed, but here we are. The Buccaneers moved up to the NFC South lead after beating the Falcons last week 29-25 holding the head-to-head over them now.
Wild Cards: Philadelphia Eagles (10-3), Minnesota Vikings (7-6), Green Bay Packers (6-7)
The Eagles, in one week, were bounced from the top of the conference to a wild card standing. With one less divisional win, they are losing the tiebreaker to the 10-3 Cowboys. The Vikings are gaining ground on the Lions but are still in the playoffs. The Packers hold the tiebreaker over the four other teams in the conference tied at 6-7, but it will be a tight race to the end.

AFC Picture
1 Seed: Baltimore Ravens (10-3) – AFC North Leader
The Baltimore Ravens came off their bye and secured another win taking the sole lead of the conference now as the only team with a 10-3 record. However, they do play in the toughest division with all four teams positive. They also have one of the toughest remaining schedules with the Jaguars, 49ers, Dolphins and Steelers on the agenda.
2 Seed: Miami Dolphins (9-4) – AFC East Leader
The Miami Dolphins dropped a tough game to the Tennessee Titans last night losing by just one point. However, they still keep the division lead and sit between the 10-3 Ravens and 8-5 Chiefs.
3 Seed: Kansas City Chiefs (8-5) – AFC West Leader
The Kansas City Chiefs are in one of the biggest funks that we have seen them in … ever. They have now lost three of their last four games and four of their last six. They still hold the lead in the division, though by just one game, over the Denver Broncos.
4 Seed: Jacksonville Jaguars (8-5) – AFC South Leader
The Jaguars are another team that has been falling lately. They have now also lost two straight games falling from 8-3 to 8-5 and have lost three of their last five games. They have a pretty easy schedule remaining with just the Ravens as the only positive team.
Wild Cards: Cleveland Browns (8-5), Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6), Indianapolis Colts (7-6)
The Cleveland Browns winning this week put them a game over the Steelers, everyone else taking a loss makes six teams tied with a 7-6 record. This race will be a fun one to keep an eye on week after week.
In The Hunt: Houston Texans (7-6), Denver Broncos (7-6), Cincinnati Bengals (7-6), Buffalo Bills (7-6)
Eliminated: New England Patriots (3-10)
