Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will take the field at Acrisure Stadium against Russell Wilson and the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day.
The Kansas City Chiefs will travel on Christmas Day to face the Pittsburgh Steelers. It is a huge game for both squads. The Chiefs improved to 14-1 last week in a Saturday game, as they took down the then 9-5 Houston Texas at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Patrick Mahomes threw for 260 yards and a touchdown on 28-of-41 completions. Xavier Worthy led the receiving corp in the win with 65 yards on seven catches for Mahomes’ only touchdown.
Despite Isiah Pacheco being back in the lineup, it was Kareem Hunt who led the backfield with 55 yards on 11 carries and a touchdown. Mahomes ran for 33 yards on five scrambles and a touchdown. In Hollywood Brown’s first game back this season, he finished with five receptions for 45 yards, while DeAndre Hopkins had four receptions for 37 yards.
The Steelers come into this game with a 10-5 record after dropping two games in a row to the Philadelphia Eagles and the Baltimore Ravens. They lost 34-17 at M&T Bank Stadium last week. Still without George Pickens, the Steelers passing game looked lost, as Calvin Austin led the way with four receptions for 65 yards. He was the only player to eclipse 50 yards on the day.
Russell Wilson led the passing attack, completing 22 of 33 passing attempts for 217 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Jaylen Warren led the ground attack with 12 carries for 48 yards while catching five passes for 44 yards. Alex Highsmith had the only sack on the night for Pittsburgh’s renowned defense.
