The Kansas City Chiefs hope to improve to 8-0 when they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football.
The Super Bowl LV rematch is on. This time the game will be in Kansas City instead of Tampa Bay when the Chiefs host the Buccaneers on Monday Night Football. The Chiefs are still the only remaining undefeated team in the league. They’ve had every excuse to slip up with a plethora of injuries, especially on offense, but this team keeps winning. Kansas City is 7-0 even with Patrick Mahomes throwing eight touchdowns to nine interceptions. Mahomes and company beat the Las Vegas Raiders last week 27-20. Mahomes threw for 262 yards and two touchdowns which made him the fastest quarterback to reach 30,000 in just 103 games. The Chiefs have yet to lose against the Raiders since they moved to Las Vegas. Down by just four points, The Raiders had a chance to go up on the Chiefs down by intercepting Mahomes at the Kansas City three. But the Chiefs stood tall and didn’t allow Las Vegas to score on the short field. It set the precedent as Kansas City didn’t trail in the second half. Kansas City are -9-point favorites against the Buccaneers at home tonight.

The Buccaneers got a bad draw to face the defending champions as they are trying to avoid losing their third game in a row. Tampa Bay is coming off a close loss to a division rival when they dropped 31-26 loss against the Atlanta Falcons last Sunday. Kurt Cousins went off throwing for 276 yards with an eye-opening four touchdowns. Baker Mayfield threw three touchdowns for 330 yards but he also had two interceptions. Tampa Bay shutout the Falcons in the fourth but it still wasn’t enough for the comeback as the team dropped to .500 on the season.
The Bucs had three turnovers. That didn’t fly against the Falcons and certainly won’t get the job done on the road against the defending champs.
