Two of the NFL’s top young quarterbacks meet on Sunday afternoon with Caleb Williams and the Bears visiting Anthony Richardson and the Colts.
Are NFL fans getting a look into the future of the league Sunday afternoon at Lucas Oil Stadium? This week’s 1:00 window includes a matchup between two of the league’s top young quarterbacks as Caleb Williams and Chicago Bears (1-1) visit Anthony Richardson and the Indianapolis Colts (0-2). Williams was the first overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft out of USC, while Richardson went fourth overall last year out of Florida and is playing sort of a second rookie season after an injury limited him to just four games last year.

Both of these quarterbacks have shown they can be electric playmakers. At the same time, they’ve each struggled out of the game this year.
Williams comes into this game still looking for his first NFL touchdown pass. Last week’s 19-13 loss was a bit of a ‘welcome to the NFL’ moment for him as he got sacked seven times while completing 23 of 37 pass attempts for 174 yards.
Richardson has had some higher points throwing the ball, but is completing less than half of his total pass attempts (26 of 53) and is tied for the league lead with four interceptions.
If Williams can get it going though, he has the talent around him to really test this Bears’ defense. The Colts return wide receivers Michael Pittman Jr. and Alec Pierce, and drafted AD Mitchell out of Texas in the second round this spring.
