Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Additions for Week 10

In one of the lowest-scoring offense weeks of the season, many fantasy players are turning to non-deep benches and wondering how they are going to make it. Teams are beginning to sell or make playoff pushes, and the need for FLEX-caliber role players increases. That can be solved on the waiver wire and here are five guys that need to be rostered in your league.

    Keaton Mitchell, RB, Baltimore Ravens

When Keaton Mitchell came back from IR with J.K. Dobbins already being lost for the season, there was wide speculation that he could be the team’s running back for the rest of the season if not the foreseeable future. However, he really didn’t get into the mix the first couple of weeks he was back. Last week, though, he proved that he can be an every-down back. He took nine carries for a whopping 138 yards and a touchdown finishing as the RB5 on the week. The Ravens would be foolish to not employ his services next week and moving forward.

Cade Otton, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

In an NFL where good fantasy tight ends are hard to come by, Cade Otton might be a sneaky pick-up and plug potential in weeks to come. After not being involved much during the first six weeks of the season, Otton has now seen 6+ targets in each of the last week’s games while pulling in 4+ receptions in each of those contests. Last week, he had the biggest game of the season with six receptions for 70 yards and two touchdowns. If Mayfield begins to trust Otton more, the ceiling will explode on his talent.

    Joshua Dobbs, QB, Minnesota Vikings

This quarterback is miraculous. For never being a long-time starter, Josh Dobbs has been a pinnacle for success this season. He performed well with the Cardinals and that put him on the map. He was then dealt at the trade deadline to the Vikings, who just lost Kirk Cousins for the season. Jaren Hall, the team’s rookie quarterback, got the start, threw for 78 yards, and got injured leading to the entrance of Dobbs. Not even knowing his teammates’ names, Dobbs came in and threw for 158 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 66 yards and another touchdown on his way to a 28.92-point performance.

Demario Douglas, WR, New England Patriots

When the Patriots leading receiver Kendrick Bourne went down with a season-ending injury, all eyes turned to Demario Douglas, Tyquan Thornton, and JuJu Smith-Schuster to see who would take up the mantle. Douglas might have not produced like Bourne, but his percentage of usage is rising week over week. He went from 13% of snaps to 83% last week, his highest of the year. He went from an average of one reception on two targets to five receptions on seven targets in each of his last two games. Douglas’ breakout game is on the horizon.

    Tank Dell, WR, Houston Texans

Tank Dell is already probably rostered in your league, but he’s a must-pick-up player if he isn’t. Dell had a couple of stellar performances at the beginning of the season which led to him being rostered after back-to-back 20+ point performances. However, he followed that up with five straight weeks of either being on a bye, not playing, or scoring under eight fantasy points. Managers lost interest, until this week. He found that connection with Stroud again and exploded for 114 yards on six receptions seeing 11 targets and two touchdowns.
