Xavier and South Carolina will meet Monday night in the Fort Myers Tip-Off.
The undefeated Xavier Musketeers take on the South Carolina Gamecocks on Monday night in the Fort Myers Tip-Off in the Beach Division. Joining the two teams in the Beach Division are Michigan and Virginia Tech who played the earlier semifinal game. The Palms Division is made up of Miami (OH), Siena, Jacksonville and Mercer.

The Musketeers have played well so far this season and bring a record of 5-0 into Monday night’s game. The team’s last time out on the court was last Wednesday at home and resulted in an 80-55 win over Siena. Ryan Conwell led all scorers with 16 points while Trey Green came off the bench to add 14 points in the win. Zach Freemantle pulled down a team-high nine rebounds, narrowly missing a double-double as he added 10 points to the scoreboard.
The Gamecocks bring a record of 3-2 into Monday’s contest. The team’s two losses came against North Florida in a close 74-71 defeat to open the season and No. 16 Indiana in an 87-71 loss. Most recently, however, the team picked up an 84-72 win over Mercer on Thursday. Jamarii Thomas led the Gamecocks with 19 points and Zachary Davis finished right behind him with 18 points on the night. Collin Murray-Boyles handled rebounding responsibilities, pulling down nine with seven being defensive.
Xavier and South Carolina have only met once before and the game dates all the way back to 1941 when Xavier earned a 63-42 victory in the season opener.
