Wyoming took a 10 point lead into the locker room and it’s a good thing they did since the Lions outscored the Cowboys 35-28 in the second half. Jordan Nesbitt led his team in both scoring and rebounding with 13 points and a monster 15 rebounds to earn a double-double in the win. The team will need to work on its shooting moving forward as it went just 20-54 from the field and 5-22 from long range. The Cowboys also struggled at the line, shooting 57 percent which could have cost them the game.
The Green Wave will be looking to bounce back from their latest game after they lost to New Orleans on Friday in a 93-87 overtime defeat to move to 4-2 on the season. Against the Privateers, Kaleb Banks led Tulane’s scoring with 20 points, but Kam Williams finished right behind him with 19 points. Asher Woods and Rowan Brumbaugh rounded out the double digit scorers with 17 and 13 points, respectively. Mari Jordan and Williams each pulled down eight rebounds to lead on the boards. The Green Wave had a strong second half, outscoring New Orleans 52-40 to force overtime, but their struggles in the first half ended up costing them the game.
