Chibuzo Agbo and USC will take to their home court against Jaden Wells and Texas-Arlington on Wednesday.
Texas-Arlington will travel to Los Angeles, California, on Wednesday night in the second week of the regular season in men’s college basketball. There, it will take on Southern California at the Galen Center. The Trojans are undefeated through two games in the first week of basketball. They opened the season in the Galen Center with a 77-51 win over Chattanooga on the opening day of the regular season.
Chibuzo Agbo, the Boise State transfer senior, led the team with 14 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Matt Knowling, a senior Yale transfer, came off the bench and had 13 points and four assists in 28 minutes. Later that week, they took down Idaho State at home, 75-69. Josh Cohen led the team in that win with 19 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Wesley Yates III came off the bench and had 13 points as well
The Mavericks are 1-1 through the first week of the season. They welcomed UNT Dallas into the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas, and beat them by 35 points. The team was led by guard Jaden Wells, who dropped 22 points with four rebounds. Troy Hupstead was one point away from a double-double with 11 rebounds.
They stayed at home in Arlington for their second game as well, losing to Louisiana Tech, 92-77. Hupstead led the team in scoring with 20 points and seven rebounds, while Wells had 17 points, three rebounds, and three assists. Darius Burford led the bench with eight points, two rebounds, and two assists.
