    Texas A&M, the nation’s No. 17 ranked men’s college basketball team, will travel to Indianapolis, Indiana, on Saturday afternoon. In Indiana, they will face off against the No. 11 ranked team in the country, Purdue, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Boilermakers have just two losses on the season in 10 games. Only one of those losses came in the first month of play and that was to the former No. 5 ranked Marquette on the road. In that same stretch, they took down the former No. 2-ranked Alabama by nine points at home.

    They also beat NC State and former No. 23 Ole Miss to win the Rady Children’s Invitational at the end of November. They opened December as the No. 8-ranked team and lost to unranked Penn State before bouncing back and beating Maryland last weekend. Trey Kaufman-Renn leads the team in scoring this season, averaging 18.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game, shooting nearly 60% from the field.

    The Aggies also have just two losses in 10 games to open up their season. They lost to Oregon, now the No. 12 ranked team in the country, by 10 points followed by former No. 21-ranked Creighton in back-to-back games in the Players Era Festival. In November, they also took down former-ranked Ohio State and dominated Rutgers.

    They have beaten Wake Forest and Texas Tech in back-to-back games to start the new month of December. Wade Taylor IV leads the team in scoring this season as a senior. He is averaging 16.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game while averaging almost a steal per game as well. His long-time teammate Henry Coleman III is averaging 10.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
