The Michigan Wolverines host the TCU Horned Frogs in a college basketball matchup on Friday night. The Wolverines come into Friday 1-1 on the season and looking to bounce back from a close loss to Wake Forest on Sunday. The Wolverines looked great in their first game as they whipped Cleveland State by 48, but they struggled in the second half against the Demon Deacons and lost 72-70. The Wolverines led by as many as 13 in the first half, but they went cold late in the half and allowed Wake Forest to come back and cut the lead to four at the break. The Wolverines couldn’t get any flow going in the second half and lost their first game of the year. A game after doing almost whatever they wanted on offense, the Wolverines had just three guys score in double figures. Rudy Gayle Jr. led the way with 11 points and Tre Donaldson and L.J. Carson both had 10.

The Horned Frogs will look to slow down the Wolverines again as they look to get a fourth straight win to start the year. The Horned Frogs come into Friday on a three-game winning streak, but the game in Ann Arbor will be the first on the road this season.
They have played their first three games at home against Florida A&M, FGCU and Texas State. Tuesday they struggled with the Bobcats as they trailed by two at halftime, but got things going in the second half to slip by and get the 76-71 victory.
Vasean Allette has been the team’s top scorer as he is averaging 13.0 points per game. Frankie Collins, a former Michigan player, is second in scoring at 11.3 points per game. Collins played a year at Michigan before transferring to Arizona State for two years. This is his first season with TCU.
