On Friday afternoon, LSU will take on Pitt at Colonial Hall in West Virginia as the teams meet in the Greenbriar Tip-Off and try to keep their respective unbeaten streaks intact. The Tigers come into tournament play with a record of 4-0 so far, but have yet to be tested this season. Last time out, LSU played Charleston Southern and picked up a 77-68 win at home. Vyctorious Miller scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Tigers’ offense while Jordan Sears and Dji Bailey joined him in double figures with 15 and 11 points, respectively. Jalen Reed finished the game with eight rebounds to lead on the boards and help his team regain possession as seven of those rebounds were defensive.

The Panthers opened play in the Greenbriar Tip-Off on Monday at home against the Virginia Military Institute and won handily in a 93-48 victory. The team is now 5-0 on the year with wins against strong squads like Gardner-Webb and West Virginia. Against the Keydets, six Panthers ended the game in double digits led by Ishmael Leggett who had 14 points on the night.
The star of the game, however, was Jaland Lowe who finished the game with a triple-double, only the sixth to be recorded in program history. Lowe scored 11 points, had 10 rebounds and 10 assists in the win.
