Oregon, the country’s No. 12 ranked team in men’s college basketball, will travel to Los Angeles, California, on Wednesday night. In California, they will take on USC at the Galen Center. The Ducks are undefeated this season with a perfect 8-0 record. They opened the season unranked, but through wins against former No. 20 Texas A&M and former No. 9-ranked Alabama, they jolted from unranked to No. 12 in last week’s AP Top 25. They opened the season at home in Eugene, Oregon, against UC Riverside, winning by 15 points in Matthew Knight Arena.

They proceeded to beat Montana, Portland, and Troy at home before heading on the road and beating Oregon State. They traveled to the Players Era Festival and won the entire tournament, beating those two top-25-ranked teams and San Diego State in the process. Nate Bittle, a senior center, leads the team in scoring this season, averaging 14.6 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game.
The Trojans have lost three games this season out of eight in the first month of play. They opened the year up with three wins at home against Chattanooga, Idaho State, and UT Arlington before losing their first game of the season at home against California. They got back on the winning side against San José State and Grambling in the next two games.
They participated in the Acrisure Classic, an in-season tournament, and lost to Saint Mary’s in the first round and New Mexico in the third-place game, ending in November. Forward Josh Cohen leads the team in scoring this season as a senior. He is averaging 12.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.
