No. 24 Arizona (3-2) snapped a two-game slide with a blowout win to open its stay at the Battle 4 Atlantis on Paradise Island in the Bahamas and advanced to take on Oklahoma (5-0) in a Thursday evening semifinal. The Sooners are trying to get back to the postseason for the first time since 2022, when they played in the NIT, with their last NCAA tournament appearance coming the year before. Coach Porter Moser is 59-45 since coming to the program in 2021. The Wildcats have played in the last three NCAA tournaments, reaching the Sweet Sixteen last spring, and coach Tommy Lloyd is 91-22 since leaving Gonzaga, where he was an assistant for 20 years.

Oklahoma took its first lead of the second half at the 13:22 mark and was up by nine with 44 seconds left before holding off a furious Providence rally to claim a 79-77 victory. Kobe Elvis went off for 26 points and Jeremiah Fears finished with 20 points, seven assists and four steals. Fears scores 16.4 points per game, Jalon Moore gets 16.2 points a night and Sam Godwin averages 6.6 points and 9.4 rebounds.
Arizona began to pull away from Davidson late in the first half and turned on the gas after the break in a 104-71 win. Anthony Dell’Orso came off the bench for 21 points, Caleb Love added 20 and Tobe Awaka and KJ Lewis each grabbed 10 boards. Jaden Bradley leads the team with 14.0 points per game, Love puts up 12.2 points a night and Awaka averages 8.8 points and 10.0 rebounds.
The Sooners are 5-2 against the Wildcats all-time, but Arizona claimed the win the last time the teams met, taking an 83-60 win at home on Dec. 5, 2010.
