Memphis goes for its second straight win on Wednesday night when it visits Virginia in college basketball.
The Memphis Tigers hit the road on Wednesday night to take on the Virginia Cavaliers. It is the second game of a brutal four-game stretch for the Tigers that also includes them playing No. 25 Mississippi State and No. 19 Ole Miss at home over the next 10 days. The Tigers come into Wednesday 8-2 on the season and fresh off a huge 87-82 overtime win over No. 16 Clemson on the road. It was their second ranked win of the season and helped them avoid a second straight loss after they were upset by Arkansas State. They are now just 2-2 in their last four games after starting the season with six straight wins. PJ Haggerty has been great this season for the Tigers, as he is averaging a team-best 21.9 points per game. Dain Dainja is leading the team in rebounding at 6.3 boards per game while also scoring 10.9 points per game.

The Cavaliers will need to find a way to slow down Dainja if they want to pick up a much-needed home win.
The Cavaliers come into Wednesday just 6-4 on the season, but they are a perfect 5-0 on their home court.
They snapped a two-game losing streak on Thursday when they knocked off Bethune-Cookman 59-41.
The Cavaliers do own a win over Villanova, but are 1-4 against major conference opponents. Wednesday they will look to reverse that trend with a win over the Tigers.
The Cavaliers will have to be better on offense if they want to get the win. They are averaging just 61.4 points per game as a team.
