Two-time defending national champion UConn takes on Le Moyne on Wednesday night in college basketball.
No. 3 UConn (2-0), the two-time defending national champions, have its second straight home game, hosting Le Moyne (1-2) on Wednesday night. The Huskies have played in four straight NCAA tournaments and coach Dan Hurley returned to the program after a flirtation with the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers over the summer. He is 143-58 in his seventh season at the school and the team was 37-3 last year. Nate Champion, a former Dolphins guard, is in his fifth season at Le Moyne and is 62-59 during his tenure. The Dolphins were 15-17 last season, their first at the Division I level.

UConn blew out New Hampshire 92-53 in Hartford on Saturday night, getting 17 points and four blocked shots from Alex Karaban. Solo Ball and Jayden Ross each scored 14 points and Liam McNeeley chipped in 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Le Moyne also scored a blowout victory on Saturday night, pummeling Division III SUNY Poly 107-73. Dwayne Koroma led the attack with 17 points, Trent Mosquera added 14 and Zek Tekin logged 11 points and six assists.
Wednesday night’s matchup is the first ever between the programs. Karaban leads the Huskies with 37 points, 11 assists and 11 blocks through two games, while Ball has 15 points and McNeeley has 28 points and 21 boards. Tekin averages 12.7 points and 5.3 assists for the Dolphins, Koroma gets 11.0 points and 5.0 rebounds and Nate Fouts also scores 11.0 points per game.
