No. 1 Kansas and Hunter Dickinson will take the court against Ryan Kalkbrenner and Creighton in the Big 12-Big East Battle on Wednesday night.
The No. 1 ranked team in the country, Kansas, will travel to Omaha, Nebraska, on Wednesday night in the Big 12-Big East Battle in men’s college basketball. In Omaha, they will take on Creighton at the CHI Health Center. The Jayhawks, the Big 12 side of this battle, are undefeated this season with a perfect 7-0 record. They are not shy of big games either, taking down Michigan State, former No. 9-ranked North Carolina, and former No. 11-ranked Duke in the first month of play.

Outside of those three games, they also took down Howard, Oakland, UNC Wilmington, and Furman, all at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kansas. All-American Hunter Dickinson leads the team in scoring with 15.7 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. He is also averaging 1.7 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.
The Blue Jays, the Big East side of the battle, have three losses already this season with five wins in eight games in the first month. They opened up the season as the No. 15 ranked team in the country and won four-straight games at home beating UT Rio Grande, Fair Dickinson, Houston Christian, and Kansas City. Right before they went to the Players Era Festival tournament, they lost their first game of the season at home against Nebraska.
At the tournament, they lost two straight games against San Diego State and former No. 20-ranked Texas A&M. They went on to win the seventh-place game against Notre Dame to end the month. Ryan Kalkbrenner will be a great matchup against Dickinson tonight. Kalkbrenner leads Creighton averaging 18.1 points and 8.6 rebounds per game with 3.0 blocks per game.
