Isaiah Griffin and Idaho State will take the court against Tyler Bilodeau and UCLA on Wednesday night in men’s college basketball.
Idaho State will travel to California on Wednesday night in the middle of the third week of men’s college basketball’s regular season. In Los Angeles, they will take on UCLA at Pauley Pavilion. The Bruins are 3-1 after the conclusion of the second week of the regular season. They opened up the season as the No. 22 ranked team in the nation and beat Rider by 35 points. Tyler Bilodeau, the Oregon State transfer, led the team with 18 points. They lost their weekend game against New Mexico at home by eight points despite Bilodeau dropping 23 points.
After dropping out of the Top 25 rankings, they beat Boston University at home by 31 points. Eric Dailey Jr. led the team with 13 points and five rebounds. Lazar Stefanovic also had 13 points, shooting 3-for-5 from three point range. Last weekend, they took on and beat Lehigh at home by 40 points. Dailey Jr. led the team again with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
The Bengals head into this week of college basketball with an even 2-2 record. They lost both games in the first week of play against Arizona State and USC, both on the road. Isaiah Griffin dropped 12 points to lead the team against Arizona State, while Dylan Darling had 22 points in the six-point loss to USC.
They showed resilience, though, battling back to win two games last week. They came back home to Pocatello, Idaho and beat Southern Oregon by 24 points, led by Jake O’Neil, who dropped 17 points. They went back on the road last weekend and beat San Diego by 12 points with Griffin leading the team with 15 points.
