With the Orange hoping to build some momentum following a home win earlier this week, Syracuse welcomes longtime foe Georgetown to the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday. Syracuse has had an up-and-down season so far with an 5-4 overall record and a 0-1 mark in ACC play. The Orange lost their conference opener to Notre Dame last week in South Bend, but bounced back by cruising to their fifth win of the season with a victory over UAlbany to remain a perfect 5-0 at home. Georgetown, on the other hand, suffered its second loss of the season in the Big 12-Big East battle to West Virginia. The Hoyas are now 7-2 overall with all seven wins coming at home. Syracuse has won two consecutive games between these storied programs, including a 80-68 victory last December.

Most recently, the Orange got back in the win column with a 102-85 victory over UAlbany at the JMA Wireless Dome on Tuesday night. Donnie Freeman scored 18 points in the second half to finish with a career-high 24 points while Jaquan Carlos finished hte game with his first-ever double-double with 12 points and 12 assists.
As for Georgetown, the Hoyas fell in the Big 12-Big East challenge to West Virginia by a final score of 73-60 last Friday night. Jayden Epps was the Hoyas’ leading scorer with 17 points fllowed by 13 points for Thomas Sorber while Malik Mack added 10 points in the loss.
