They now sit at 5-1 on the season with their lone loss coming to No. 20 Florida back on November 15th. They opened their season with three straight wins before the loss to the rival Gators. The Seminoles offense has been extremely consistent this season as they have scored between 72 and 79 points in all five games. They have been led by Jamir Watkins who is scoring 18.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. He is the only player scoring in double figures this season for the Seminoles. The Minutemen come into Sunday on a four-game winning streak and just 1-4 on the season.
They opened their season with a 29-point win over New Hampshire, but have lost four straight to West Virginia, Louisiana Tech, Hofstra and Temple.
Saturday, in their first game of the Hall of Fame Tip-Off, the Minutemen let a close game get away from them late in the first half and could never recover.
They were down to the Owls by just one with 2:30 left in the first half, but would go in the break down seven and then never really got close in the second half.
Sophomore Jaylen Curry led the team with 17 points, but it wasn’t enough to get the Minutemen out of their slump. Curry is now scoring 15 points per game and has played well in the last two games.
