Jahsean Corbet and Duquesne will take the court against Isaiah Rivera and DePaul on Friday night.
Duquesne will travel to Chicago, Illinois, as the second week of men’s college basketball comes to a close. On Friday, they will face off with DePaul at Wintrust Arena. The Blue Demons are undefeated through three games this season in a week and a half of college basketball. They opened the season with a two-point overtime win at home in Wintrust Arena against Southern Indiana. Isaiah Rivera, the Colorado State and UIC transfer, led the team with 25 points, five rebounds, and two assists.
Later that week, they welcomed Prairie View and won 92-59. Rivera led the team again with 17 points and four rebounds. However, help was provided as NJ Benson came off the bench and had 15 points and nine rebounds. In their last game earlier this week, they took down Mercer by 31 points at home. Benson led the team with 15 and four rebounds, while JJ Traynor double-doubled with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
The Dukes are winless this season through just two games before this one. They took on Lipscomb to open up the season at home in Pittsburgh at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse. They lost by five points, with Tre Dinkins leading the way with 16 points and two assists off the bench. Maximus Edwards led the starters with 14 points and nine rebounds.
They lost their second game against Princeton in the Jersey Jam in Trenton, New Jersey, by seven points. Kareem Rozier led the team with 14 points, three rebounds, and four assists. Jahsean Corbett had 13 points, nine rebounds and two assists as well.
