Columbia will take a trip on Monday night to play Rutgers in men’s non-conference basketball action.
The Columbia Lions will play their final non-conference game of the season on Monday night against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on the road at Jersey Mike’s Arena. The Lions bring a three-game win streak into Monday night’s contest, bringing their record to 11-1 this season. The team’s lone loss came against Albany in early December, but Columbia bounced back quickly. The latest game for the Lions was played against Fairfield and resulted in an 85-72 win. Columbia was down 41-32 entering halftime, but was able to use a strong second half to outscore Fairfield 53-31 to secure the win. In the victory, Geronimo Rubio De La Rosa scored a game-high 27 points. Zine Eddine Bedri earned his first double-double of his career with 12 points and a career-high and team-leading 17 rebounds.
