Bucknell will take on No. 13 Gonzaga on Saturday night as the teams prepare for conference play which begins after Christmas.
The Bucknell Bison will travel across the country on Saturday for a game against the No. 13 Gonzaga Bulldogs as the teams play one of their final non-conference games before getting into the thick of their conference schedule. The Bison come into Saturday night’s contest with a five-game losing streak and will look to break that with a big upset over the Zags. Most recently, the team played Radford on the road, losing in a 74-70 overtime heartbreaker. Achile Spadone and Josh Bascoe were the only Bison in double figures with 22 and 19 points, respectively. Four players topped the stat sheet on the boards with five rebounds as the Bison tried to hold on to possession, but they ultimately came up short as time expired.

The Bulldogs have played well this season and bring a record of 8-3 into Saturday night’s home game. The team’s three losses came against West Virginia, No. 4 Kentucky and No. 18 UConn. On Wednesday, the Bulldogs hosted Nicholls at the McCarthey Athletic Center and won handily in a 102-72 victory.
In the win, Braden Huff led all scorers with 25 points while five other Bulldogs also finished in double figures. Graham Ike contributed 20 points to the scoreboard and Ryan Nembhard added 18. Ben Gregg pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds to go along with a 10-point performance to earn a double-double in the win.
Saturday night’s meeting will be the first between the Bison and the Bulldogs. A win for Bucknell would not only snap a five-game losing streak, but also give the Bison their first win over a ranked opponent since 2005.
