The Boston College Eagles and VCU Rams kick off the Veterans Classic on Friday night. The two teams will play in the first game of the classic with Navy and Harvard playing the nightcap. The teams will face off at the home court of Navy in Annapolis. The Eagles come into Friday looking to win a second straight game after they beat The Citadel 69-60 on Monday night. The Eagles weren’t dominant, but they controlled the second half after building a nine-point halftime lead to get the win. Donald Hand Jr. had a great first game as he recorded a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Hand Jr. hit three shots from deep and went 11-11 from the free-throw line. It was a great first game for him and he will look to duplicate it on Friday in a tough matchup with the Rams.

The Rams, though, will look to slow him down as they try and build off their win over Bellarmine on Monday night.
The Rams were steady in their season-opening win as they led by seven at halftime and continued to extend their lead in the second half to get the 84-65 victory.
Max Shulga led the way with 19 points and was one of four players to score in double figures in the win. Shulga was perfect from the field as he shot 6-6 overall and 4-4 from deep. He did miss two free throws in an otherwise perfect night.
