Johni Broome and No. 2 Auburn will take the court against Cooper Flagg and No. 9 Duke in the SEC/ACC Challenge on Wednesday.
Auburn, the country’s No. 2 ranked men’s college basketball team, will travel to Durham, North Carolina, on Wednesday night in the SEC/ACC Men’s Challenge presented by Continental Tire. In Durham, they will take on the No. 9 nationally ranked Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Tigers, the SEC side of the challenge, are tested and undefeated through the first month of this season. They opened up the season at home, beating Vermont before their first quad-one win on the road against former No. 4 Houston by five points.

They went on to beat Kent State and North Alabama before heading to Hawai’i for the Maui Invitational. They opened that tournament up beating former No. 5 Iowa State by two points. In the semifinals, they beat No. 20 North Carolina and dominated Memphis in the championship game. Johni Broome is putting up All-American numbers averaging a team-high 20.7 points, 12.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 3.1 blocks per game.
The Blue Devils, the ACC side of the challenge, are 5-2 overall this season through seven games in November. They beat Main and Army before losing their first of two games against top-10-ranked Kentucky by five points. They went on to beat Wofford and former No. 15 Arizona before losing their second game.
That second loss came against the nation’s top-ranked team in the Terry’s Chocolate Vegas Showdown by just three points. Tyrese Proctor led the team with 15 points in that loss. They won their last game in Vegas against Seattle U. Freshman phenom Cooper Flagg leads this team, averaging 15.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game.
