The Memphis Tigers take on the Arkansas State Red Wolves on Sunday afternoon in a non-conference battle. The Tigers come into Sunday 7-1 on the season and looking to win a second straight game. They lost their first game of the season a week and a half ago when they fell to No. 4 Auburn 90-76, but they bounced back to beat Louisiana Tech on Wednesday. The Tigers have played well to start the season as they already own wins over then No. 2 UConn and Michigan State. The wins have helped move them up to No. 16 in the latest AP Poll. The Tigers have been led by PJ Haggerty who has a team-best 22.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Tyrese Hunter (16.6 ppg), Colby Rogers (12.6 ppg) and Dain Dainja (10.3 ppg) are the other three players averaging double figures for the Tigers this season.

The Red Wolves will have their hands full with the four of them as they try to come to town and pick up a huge upset over the Tigers. The Red Wolves snapped a two-game losing streak on Thursday when they slipped by Jackson State 66-64. The win pushed their record to 6-3 on the season, but none of their wins have come against major conference opponents. They did play No. 2 Alabama to a nine-point game in their only such game.
The Red Wolves have three players averaging double figures this season with Taryn Todd leading the team at 13.2 points per game. Kobe Julien is adding 12.4 points per game and is leading the team at 5.3 rebounds per game.
