The Trojans bring a 3-3 record into Monday’s game and will look to bounce back from its most recent game which resulted in a 79-67 loss to in-state foe No. 20 Arkansas on Friday night.

Against the Hogs, Mwani Wilkinson led the Trojans with an 18-point performance while three others joined him in double figures. Johnathan Lawson scored 15 points and Isaiah Lewis and Ante Beljan rounded out the double-digit scorers with 13 and 10 points, respectively. Lawson earned a double-double in the loss by leading on the boards with 12 rebounds, nine of which were defensive. Despite strong play from the Trojans, the team was unable to hold off the strength of the Razorbacks and were forced to take the loss.
The Fighting Illini come into Monday’s contest with a record of 4-1 so far and the team’s only loss came against a very strong No. 8 Alabama squad last week in a 100-87 defeat on the road. The team bounced back, however, and won handily against Maryland-Eastern Shore in an 87-40 victory on Saturday. Will Riley led the team in scoring with 19 points while Morez Johnson Jr. pulled down 13 rebounds to lead the team on the boards. Johnson Jr. earned a double-double in the win by adding 10 points to the scoreboard, as well.
Illinois and Little Rock have met three times in their histories, but the teams have not played each other since 2005 with the Fighting Illini winning 75-49. Tune in Monday night to see if Little Rock can finally pull off a win against Illinois.
