Virginia Tech will travel on the road in Week 10 of the college football season to take on Syracuse at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, New York, on Saturday afternoon in an ACC matchup. The Orange come into this home game with a 5-2 record overall and a 2-2 record against teams from the Atlantic Coastal Conference. They opened up conference play with a win over the former No. 23 ranked team in the country, Georgia Tech, 31-28. They proceeded to lose a home game to Stanford by just two points in the following week.
After two non-conference wins, they lost to NC State on the road, 24-17, before losing to the No. 19 ranked team in the country, Pitt, 41-13 last week. Kyle McCord leads the Syracuse on offense. He has 2,481 yards through the air with 19 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. His favorite target this season has been Jackson Meeks, who has 43 receptions for 512 yards and four scores.
The Hokies also come into this game a multi-loss team with a 5-3 record overall and a 3-1 record against teams from the same conference. They bring a three-game winning streak into this road contest after beating Stanford, Boston College, and Georgia Tech in their last three games. Their only conference loss came against top-five-ranked Miami.
