One of college football’s oldest and most prestigious rivalries is renewed again this Saturday in Washington D.C., with the playing of the 2024 Army-Navy Game.
Before the 2024-2025 college football postseason slate starts next week, all eyes will be on the nation’s capital this Saturday for the lone FBS game of the week. In one of the most storied matchups in the history of the sport, No. 19 Army (11-1, 8-0 AAC) and Navy (8-3, 6-2 AAC) square off for the 125th time in series history at Northwest Stadium. This game will not count as a conference game for either team, despite both squads being members of the AAC for the first time together this year.

Navy leads the all-time series 62-55 with seven ties. That includes a record 14-game wining streak that lasted from 2002 to 2015. Since that streak ended though Navy has had the upper hand with wins in six of the last eight meetings. That includes the last two years, with both games ending with the Black Knights getting a stop on the defensive goal line late in the game.
Army comes into this year’s game not only looking for the three-peat, but to build on what’s been a very successful season so far. The Black Knights won the AAC in their first year in the conference, after beating Tulane 35-14 last week. Because they played in the conference championship game, this is a rare instance of the Black Knights not having the full two weeks to prepare for this game.
Navy was ranked for most of the year along with Army, but lost three games over the final month of the season. The Midshipmen beat East Carolina 34-20 in their final game of the regular season.
